Hello!
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and see my art! You can read my story and find out how to contact me below. I hope you'll stay a little longer and have a browse through my portfolio! Come hang out with me on my socials as well to get all the latest on what I'm up to in the studio, as well as where I'll be live painting, teaching, etc.
My Story
I've always been a "Jill of all trades" and have dabbled in many different types of creative expression. I eventually discovered that painting and making a mess allowed me to embrace the freedom of the intuitive brushstroke and stay present in the moment. God used art to bring me healing in so many ways. I started my career painting abstract pieces, but then I discovered portraits and figurative art. I fell in love with the process of creating vibrant paintings that tell a story and I still incorporate those abstract elements to keep things fun and loose. My female portrait subjects exude a sense of inner strength and beauty, resilience, and fierceness. I leave a little piece of myself in each painting, so the subjects tend to display their own attitudes and personalities while also expressing what I'm feeling as I'm creating. I hope my paintings bring healing and happiness to others who find a connection with the underlying message or subject.

I live in Salado, TX with my wonderful husband, Jason. I have been married since 2001, which makes it easy to do the math. I have two sons who are the light of my life and make me so proud. My oldest, Andrew, is a baseball player and kenesiology major at Tarleton University. My youngest, Matthew, is finishing his time at Salado High School and will be heading off to college soon. That will leave us not quite empty nesters, because our English bulldog, Augie, keeps us busy with his shenanigans most of the time. My family has always been my biggest support, and they bring me joy every day. Building a creative life while being a full-time wife and mom has its challenges, but it also comes with beautiful moments.

I love living in Salado! The people have all been so wonderful since we made the move out here from the big city. You can find my art locally at Longbow Coffee Co. and if you drive a little further, at Art Direct Gallery in Cedar Park.
